arrival!

safe and sound we have arrived in melbourne, aus. flying across canada was beautiful.. and we were lucky to have a clear enough day to see the lakes of manitoba, the plains of sask, and the rockies.. and got pictures of all. a quick stop in vancouver informed us of an addition to our flight plan that was not disclosed to us that we would be making a short stop in honolulu.

we slept on the plane like it was our job and still needed more after an abbreviated first day on the ground. we'll be heading to the yarra river and central melbourne for the day today which features an art gallery (showing picasso) an aquarium and various other sights.

pre-trip post

g'day.

this is to be the travel log of scott filip. you may have received this link via mass email and will click it once and never again. if you care to read of my misadventures in australia and southeast asia, add this page to your favourites and check back again as you please between september and january.

the outline of the travel plan is as follows:

i fly on august 29th with my girlfriend Poeli to australia and spend the month travelling north along the eastern coast. Poeli flies back to canada at the end of september.

i then meet my cousin Danielle in melbourne, australia in october and fly to singapore. then we have 2 months to travel through thailand, laos, vietnam and back to melbourne for a week, then fly to vancouver for 2 weeks and then fly home.
